Japanese Fans Name 'My Hero Academia' Manga As Series Most Likely To Make It Big In 2015

Sometimes fans can be the worst. They can often have the ability to crush the hopes and dreams of any artists if they have the right ammunition.

But when they like your work, they can be the quickest way to a long and successful career.

This perhaps explains the merit in the latest Japanese fan poll from Da Vinci and NicoNico that asked readers to name the manga series they believed had the most potential for a big break in 2015. The number one manga series was "My Hero Academia" by Kohei Horikoshi. Rounding off the top three in the poll were "The Ancient Magus Bride" by Kore Yamazaki and "The Story of Isobe Isobee" by Ryo Nakama.

Fans on Crunchyroll were pleased with the list in various different ways:

"Very interesting list. A lot of diversity in the titles," commented Curr0001.

"A lot of potential with this list," said Stark700.

"I agree, it's nice to see a lot of unique titles," explained Kilikikero.

According to Crunchyroll, the poll included over 20,000 responses and included the criteria that the manga had to be on its third volume within the year 2015. Fans can view the full list on Crunchyroll but the remaining top 10 included the following titles:

4. "Mr. Nietzsche in the Convenience Store" by Hashimoto, Koma Matsu

5. "Himomaru Zumo" by Kadawa

6. "Relife" by Sou Yayoi

7. "Green Worldz" by Yusuke Osawa"

8. "Helk" by Nano Nanaki

9. "Choeki 339 Nen" by Tomaka Ise

"My Hero Academia" is described by My Anime List as follows:

"People are not born equal, a realization that 4-year-old Midoriya Izuku faced when bullied by his classmates who had unique special powers. Izuku was one of the rare cases where he was born with absolutely no unique powers. This did not stop Izuku from pursuing his dream, a dream of becoming a great hero like the legendary All-Might.

To become the great hero he hopelessly wants to become, he now will join the ranks of one of the highest rated 'Hero Academies' in the country: Yueiko. With the help of his idol All-Might, will he be able to claim the ranks and become a true hero?"
