Two Super Junior members will be heading off to the army.

Super Junior's Sungmin (Lee Sung Min) and Shindong (Shin Dong Hee) have both received draft notices to serve in the Korean army. The two idols will enlist in active duty in March, prior to the pair celebrating their 30th birthdays. The two received draft notices, and will enlist in the middle of March.

Shindong will enlist on March 24, and beginning training with the 28th Army Battalion in Yeoncheon, while Sungmin will enlist with the 17th Army Battalion in Bucheon on March 31, reported Korea's Star News.

Military service is mandatory in South Korea for all men, who have to serve for around two years between the ages of 18 and 35.

Shindong began to stop promoting with Super Junior in June 2014 in anticipation of a November enlistment date, but was delayed due to health concerns.

Sungmin had originally planned to enlist with Seoul Metropolitan Police's special department, as a non-active duty soldier, but delayed his enlistment due to promotions. The singer got married to actress Kim Sa Eun in December 2014, becomming the first Super Junior member to get married.

Super Junior is one of the first K-pop groups to continue promotions while members of the group are serving their mandatory service. Other groups, such as Shinhwa, focus on individual promotions while members serve in the military, but Super Junior has continued promoting even as members rotate in and out of service.

While the two Super Junior members will be absent from promotions for nearly two years, Super Junior's Yesung is expected to return to promotions with the group in May 2015.

Super Junior's Kangin, Leeteuk, and Heechul all completed military service and returned to promote with the SM Entertainment idol group.

Both Shindong and Sungmin's final album before enlistment was Super Junior's seventh album, "Mamacita." The pair appeared in three music videos from the album, for the songs "Mamacita," "This Is Love," and "Evanesce."
