The release date for the upcoming movie, "The Incredibles 2" has been much anticipated by fans, given that it has not been announced officially.

Due to the lack of information fans have been getting lately, they have created speculations and hope that these ring true, if not close to it. They say that the release date will be sometime in 2016. According to fans, this speculation is due to the increased hype about the film, that is kept relevant since last year.

Director Brad Bird previously released a statement regarding the making of "The Incredibles 2."

"Pixar does not look at sequels as a financial plan," he said, as quoted by Crossmap, and pertaining to his initial hesitations with making the film. "We feel we have a relationship with the audience and that they believe in each movie we put out. We believe completely in every movie we put out."

"If I can come up with a story that is as good or better than that first film, then I'd love to return to that world, but it would to be story first."

To add to this, a supposed "The Incredibles 2" release date has been hinted by the movie's 3D Director.

"Right now, we're working on The Incredibles, which is a lot of fun in 3D," said Josh Hollander, also as quoted by the source cited above. "I'm not sure what the release strategy for it will be. It's been an interesting challenge to work on technology because - while the film was released 10 years ago - the technology is even older as it took four years to make."

As to the storyline, fans are happy to know that the upcoming sequel will feature more of their favorite, Jack-Jack, who is the youngest amongst all the Incredibles. The synopsis is written below, as taken from Wikia.

"It has been 5 years since the events of the first film, and the world is at peacetime. This is almost entirely due to the resurgance of superheroes in the world, especially the greatest superhero duo Dash and Violet Parr. Bob and Helen fight crime from time to time, but dedicate most of their time to raising their son Jack-Jack. Jack-Jack is a 6 year old rebel. He has been trying to control his powers, he is an outcast at school because he still can't control his superpowers. His mother and father overprotect him for fear that another villain will come and kidnap him the way Syndrome did 5 years ago. Jack-Jack soon discovers that he can only control his powers when he is angry and villanous. A rising, unknown villain seen only in shadows has noticed this and takes Jack-Jack in as his apprentice. However, Jack-Jack's first task is to kill the Incredibles."

Whether "The Incredibles 2" release date will be announced in the coming days or weeks, we have yet to know for sure.
