Ruling On Amanda Knox's Murder Case Appeal Detrimental To Upcoming Wedding? Normal Life For Raffaele Sollecito's Ex No Longer Possible?

Amanda Knox's wedding to Colin Sutherland might be affected by the retrial on her murder case which is scheduled on March 25.

According to Breathecast, the wedding between Amanda Knox and Colin Sutherland might be delayed, or not happen at all, depending on the ruling of the court on her appeal.

Amanda Knox and her ex-boyfriend Raffaele Sollecito were convicted to 28 years and 25 years, respectively, in the ensuing retrial on the murder case of British student Meredith Kercher in a Perugia boarding house.

"With the retrial set for March 25, a guilty verdict may put Knox's and Sutherland's wedding on hold indefinitely," Christian Post said. "Knox had earlier announced she will not return to Italy willingly, which may put both the U.S. and Italy in an difficult situation if and when the Italian court moves to implement a guilty verdict."

In an article written for The Seattle Met magazine, Amanda Knox weighed in on the murder case.

In her essay, Amanda Knox lamented the lack of laws to support those who are wrongfully accused so they can be reintegrated back to society.

"Society has hesitated to define being wrongly accused as victimization. I suspect that's because doing so would admit a failing on the part of the authorities we trust to protect against victimization," she wrote. "Some may acknowledge the wrongly accused person's status as a victim, but lack empathetic awareness."

"When you're accused of a horrific act you didn't do, you inevitably experience shock, disorientation, confusion. There's tension above your right eyebrow and below your right nostril that sometimes triggers both to twitch uncontrollably, making you self-conscious about looking people in the face," she said.

"There's a pinpoint knot that spasms between your shoulder blades, behind your heart, making it hard to sit still. There's pressure that squeezes your temples and tingles on the edges of your eyeballs, making it hard to concentrate," Amanda Knox described the feeling of being wrongfully accused in the murder case.
