WINNER's Minho Joins ‘Show Me The Money 4’ Hoping To Follow In The Footsteps Of Label Mate Bobby

WINNER rapper Song Minho is looking to do YG Entertainment proud as he joins Show Me The Money 4, the fourth season of the popular reality show competition for male rappers, reports Koreaboo.

Minho carries on the torch from his label mate, iKON member Bobby, the latter of whom participated in the third season of the series.

Fans will be able watch Minho and the rest of the contestants battle it out on stage starting in May or early June.

Minho will have to impress Show Me The Money 4's confirmed list of judges such as Jinusean, Tablo, Verbal Jint, San E, and Jay Park.

The WINNER rapper may also need to work extra harder as the group may be looking to return with new music after Big Bang's comeback this May. It has been suggested that either WINNER or the upcoming boy group, iKON, will follow Big Bang in terms of comebacks under YG Entertainment.

Fan reactions have been dithering between supportive and skeptical, with the latter camp raising concerns on whether Minho's popularity as part of a debuted YG Entertainment group will give him an unfair advantage over his relatively unknown competition.

"The show had fun with Bobby and now they're using another idol. It's getting harder and harder for non-stars to get opportunities to win," said one online commenter in Naver, garnering 2,000 likes, as compiled and translated by Netizenbuzz.

"The show's about discovering hidden gems, not for popular kids to come out and show off. I get that he will bring in a bigger viewer base but I hope they cast a lot of hidden talents," said another online commenter.
