SM Entertainment World Tour Documentary Scheduled For Release This Summer

SM Entertainment will be releasing a documentary film about last year's SM Town Live World Tour IV, reports KPopHerald.

The documentary will show interesting footage of idol rehearsals, backstage preparations, and interviews conducted during the World Tour performances.

The documentary will be shown sometime this summer, SM Entertainment reportedly said.

SM Entertainment has been holding SM Town Live events since 2008.

The fourth edition which began in August last year saw the likes of Kangta, BoA, TVXQ, Super Junior, Girls' Generation, SHINee, f(x), EXO, and Red Velvet perform to large crowds in Seoul, Tokyo, Shanghai and Taiwan.

But there was a bit of disappointment among fans as three popular idols skipped the event.

f(x) member Sulli was given time to rest as she faced malicious rumors, especially regarding her dating life. SHINee member Onew also was absent during World Tour IV as he was recovering from vocal cord surgery. A third idol, former EXO member Kris, did not appear but this time due to filing a lawsuit to have his contract nullified.

Aside from the notable absences of certain idols, the SM Town Live World Tour IV became a hotbed for headline-grabbing incidents.

For instance, the Taipei leg held in March 2015 saw TVXQ member Changmin save SHINee's Taemin and EXO's D.O. from potential harm by pushing them out of the way of a falling piece of equipment. There were also reports of Girls' Generation members becoming nearly hurt during practice.

It should be interesting to see whether these scary incidents will be covered in the documentary or not.
