Girl's Day Encourage Fan Donations To Nepal Earthquake Victims With Charity Event

Girl's Day held a donation promotion event for Nepal Earthquake victims on May 21st.

"As Nepal earthquake's scale of damage has been increasing, Girl's Day decided to take time out of their busy schedule to participate in this promotion event," commented their agency, Dream Tea Entertainment.

The promotion captured people's attention by preparing an event similar to Melissa Power of Love Campaign in Braizil and Ideia para Lisboa Project in Portugal that use Post-its on a billboard. In this event, people could indirectly experience the feeling of rescuing Nepalese children from the wreckages by peeling brick print stickers off a wall. QR codes were printed at the back of the stickers to encourage people to donate for Nepal earthquake victims.

Korean Red Cross commented, "Just as people were about to lose hope and turn away, a 4-month old baby Sonit Awal was pulled alive from the rubbles 22 hours after the earthquake. Forty-two year old Krishna Khadka was saved after 72 hours, and 101-year-old man Funchu Tamang was saved after 8 days."

"After experiencing two earthquakes, Nepalese victims are still being crushed under hopelessness. We need help," added Korean Red Cross.
