Will Girls' Generation transform into sailor scouts and be singing about moon tiara magic?

That's what some fans of the SM Entertainment act are speculating. Fans of the hugely popular K-pop girl group Girls' Generation picked up on hints that some of the eight members shared on their official Instagram accounts, and guess that Girls' Generation will return this month with an album that has some relation to the nighttime sky.

At least four members of the girl group have shared moon related images in the past month, shortly after SM Entertainment revealed the group's summer comeback.

Girls' Generation members Tiffany, Hyoyeon, Yuri, and Taeyeon each hinted to a celestial theme. Tiffany and Hyoyeon have each placed moon and star motifs on their Instagram accounts multiple times, both in the comments and in the images.

While most of the pictures and captions seem inconspicuous on their own, fans speculate that the recurring themes are hint.

Tiffany shared one picture that is related to the Japanese manga and anime, "Sailor Moon," leading to further speculation about Girls' Generation's comeback concept. The immediately preceding picture related to an arts and craft project, with the word "star" prominently displayed. She also shared several pictures of her dog, captioning them with moon and star emoticons, and a picture of a quote featuring a star.

Hyoyeon shared an image of herself wearing a ring with stars on it, and used moons to comment on a picture showing off her new haircut alongside fellow Girls' Generation member Sooyoung.

Yuri and Taeyeon each left goodnight messages.

"Is that the new style hint?" sone614 commented on the "Sailor Moon" inspired meme that Tiffany shared.

"I knew that's your concept!" Karelyahjoianaaa wrote on the star picture.

SM Entertainment has confirmed nothing about Girls' Generation's upcoming comeback, except that it will take place in late June or early July.
