There's a new Facebook Messenger game that Facebook and Messenger users can play in between chats. Introducing: "Doodle Draw."

The game was spotted by Tech Crunch's Josh Constine's on Thursday and was later on reported in other tech webites.

According to his article, Facebook has confirmed that the Facebook Messenger game is the first game to be unveiled in the platform since it was revamped in April. It was aslo then that it was announced that Messenger has been opened to third-party tools to make exchanges and conversations more interesting.

"Currently, we think Messenger Platform is best suited for apps that focus on content creation and curated content," said Constine. "But one of the reasons we were excited to announce at F8 that Messenger Platform is open to all developers is to see what people build. From there, we'll think about what else might make sense."

Constine also said "Doodle Draw" would feel familiar to many as "it's a blatant copy" of "Draw Something" that also drew inspiration from the classic "Pictionary."

To play the Facebook Messenger game, according to CNET, one has just to have a friend guess what the doodle drawing is.

"First, you pick a word from a list of options, each of which offers one, two or three coins dependent on the difficulty level of the word," wrote the source. "Then, you draw a picture of that word on your phone's touchscreen with an interface like a pared-down MS Paint. You can even purchase color packs for in-game currency. Send your finished creation to a friend, who has to guess what it is using a selection of letters at the bottom of the screen. If they get it right, you are awarded coins." 

Android users who have installed and played the game have mixed reactions on "Doodle Draw." In posts on the apps page on Google Play, some loved it. Other are complaining though that it's faulty and at times crashes when they send their doodle to their friends.

The Facebook Messenger game is available both on Google Play and iTunes Store for free.
