Burger King's All-Red Burger Unveiled, Would You Take A Bite?

The new Burger King burger, according to the Wall Street Journal, is called Aka Samurai Chicken burger. Aka is the Japanese term for red.

"Its Aka ("Red") Samurai Chicken burgers go on sale on July 3 and will sport red buns, red cheese and red hot sauce made from miso and hot pepper," the WSJ report said.

"Burger King added tomato powder to its buns and cheese to give the sandwiches their bright red color," it added.

Along with that as posted on Burger King Japan's Facebook page, a new and improved black burger which they released for a limited time last year is coming back in August.

"The chain also said that it has improved its black burgers: this year's version will come with the same black buns, cheese and sauce plus deep fried eggplant," according to the WSJ report.

In a report on E! Online, Burger King US is cheering Burger King Japan for its new burger.

"Now that is a pretty, pretty burger, @BurgerKingJapan," it tweeted.

The reaction to the new Burger King burger was mixed as reported by E! Online.

"Some Twitter users are replying with 'gross' while others are saying 'When are they bringing these to America I need pretty pattys in my life,'" it said.

But Burger King is not only experimenting on its burger. According to a report on The Consumerist last month, Burger King is also experimenting on including grilled hotdogs and also corndogs on their menu.

"They're currently being tested in Michigan and Maryland, though we can't tell you exactly which towns you can find them in," the report said.

"The corn dogs cost $1.49 each, and the grilled hot dogs (which apparently 'grilled' in the same way as Burger King's burgers) topped with ketchup, mustard, onions, and relish cost $1.99 each," It added. "You can probably ask to have any of these elements left off, because ketchup on hot dogs is an abomination."

Meanhwhile, the new Burger King burger in red and in black coming in the next months will cost as low as $5 each.
