Enrique Iglesias Arrested In Miami, Singer Exchanged Car Seats To Escape Offense?

Enrique Iglesias had no escape from police when he was arrested due to several driving misdemeanors.

As reported by Us Weekly, the Enrique Iglesias arrested news happened last month.

The "Hero" singer reportedly drove on a closed express lane and tried to switch seats with a passenger to avoid questioning. Despite the move, the Florida Highway Patrol got Enrique Iglesias arrested as well as his companion Abel Tabuyo.

In a report on NBC Miami, it was further explained that the incident happened on May 6. The trooper who asked the driver of the Cadillac Escalade said Enrique Iglesias was seen jumping off the driver seat to transfer prior to being arrested.

"It was Mr. Iglesias that was the initial driver, yes," FHP Lt. Julio Pajon told NBC Miami.

Tabuyo also claimed that he did not know why he had to exchange seats with Iglesias.

Both are facing charges of obstruction of justice. They both pleaded not guilty.

A Gawker report, meanwhile, said that Enrique Iglesias also drove with a suspended license before he was arrested.

The Enrique Iglesias getting arrested apparently happened just weeks before the Latino figured in a freak accident while performing in Mexico. His hand got sliced then after an encounter with a drone. Despite the accident, Iglesias continued and finished the show. He went on to have reconstructive surgery in Los Angeles for the injury.

A few days ago, he went back to the stage performing in Oklahoma. He also cited the drone incident and recovering from it on his latest Facebook post that said "#‎nevergiveup ‪#‎neverstop ‪#‎theshowmustgoon." The post showed a picture of him performing with a bloodied hand.

Enrique Iglesias will resume his "Sex and Love" tour in Mexico on Friday and the weekend. But on July 10, Enrique Iglesias and his car companion are expected to appear before court after being arrested in May.
