There's a new version of the famous Bubble wrap coming soon --  a no pop Bubble Wrap.

According to The Wall Street Journal, Sealed Air, the company behind the famous poppable plastic in the past decades, will be releasing iBubble -- a no pop Bubble Wrap version.

The no pop Bubble Wrap will reportedly be sold as sheets and will only be inflated by shippers with a custom-made pump. It will reportedly look like the same Bubble Wrap many people grew up to but won't be popping anymore.

The Telegraph reported that the new no pop Bubble wrap will allow products to be shipped while occupying less space than the traditional Bubble Wrap. But while it may have commercial advantage especially to shippers, some who have grown up enjoying popping the traditional Bubble Wrap are reportedly in outrage.

"Oh no!," user Matthew Cowley posted as quoted by The Telegraph. "How do I keep my kids happy? Bubble Wrap, the iconic packaging, is losing its pop."

"So, the new bubble wrap will no longer pop when you squeeze it?" exclaimed Mario Lopez on Twitter. "C'mon! What's the world coming to?!"

Sealed air immediately soothed people who have expressed their dislike for the new no pop Bubble Wrap as reported by CNN. The company said they will still produce the traditional Bubble Wrap but will also offer a no pop Bubble Wrap version.

"The key word here, folks, is 'version,'" Sealed Air via the Bubble Wrap Brand account sent out in a tweet.

"The original remains - pops and all!" it added.

"Don't worry @MarioLopezExtra - original #BubbleWrap will still be available," the company tweeted as well.

"Just has a new sibling," it also said with the hashtag #KeepPoppin

"Don't worry!" the company further assured. "Bubble Wrap is NOT getting discontinued."

"We repeat: original #BubbleWrap (with pop!) isn't going away - just gaining a new sustainable sibling," they said in response to the no pop Bubble Wrap backlash.
