JYJ Confirms their Returns to Japan Tokyo Dome after 4 Years

Group JYJ has confirmed that they will be performing at the Tokyo Dome this April. This is the first time in 4 years that the group has stood on this stage.

Their agency stated today, "From April 2-4, JYJ will be holding 3 live performances at the Tokyo Dome. This is the first time since their last concert in 2010, 'THANKSGIVING LIVE IN DOME'. This is also their first concert after their contract has ended with Japan agency, AVEX."

At their last Tokyo Dome concert in 2010, they had released their mini album, The..., and sold 170,000 copies. They also held a Tokyo Dome and Osaka Dome tour and met with 200,000 fans in 4 days. After the trial with AVEX, they did not continue their activities in Japan.

However, in 2011, they held an outdoor performance with 80,000 people and in 2012, they set the record by having the most international fans come to see them at their fan meeting.

JYJ commented, "We are so excited to finally be able to see our Japan fans. The Tokyo Dome is a meaningful place to us. Since it has been 4 long years since we've stood on that stage, we plan to show you our best efforts."

JYJ has been busy with individual activities such as solo albums and dramas and musicals.

Recently, member Jaejoong released his first solo album and gained much attention for trying out a new genre of music.

Yoochun also recently held the lead role in the drama, "I Miss You."

Junsu has been busy with musicals as well.

JYJ, who was originally a part of SM Entertainment, filed a lawsuit against them about their exclusive contract. The case finally ended 3 years later in 2012.
