EXO's Lay Transforms Into A Bad Boy For Vogue China

EXO's Lay showed his bad boy charms in the latest issue of Vogue China. The handsome idol rocked leather jackets, trendy denim, striped suits and shiny boots in a pictorial that gave him a mysterious and wild edge.

During the accompanying interview, Lay talked about his natural charm as a child and his desire to entertain.

"Maybe the people who can become celebrities later on all largely have a similar strength, which is imitation," he said. "When I was young I liked imitating teachers. Of course, if I was discovered I would be scolded heavily, but I feel that this could bring my classmates joy."

The star also talked about his grueling training days and the philosophy that kept him going despite the mounting pressure and expectations. He explained, "I only had one thought in my heart, that I have to be worthy of the people who are good to me. The competition amongst trainees were intense, it was very likely that one day I would be disqualified. I thought, even if that day really came, I still must walk out with my head held high. I cannot look sorry for myself."

When the topic switched to his personal China studio, which was established to promote his solo activities in the country, he stated, "China is my home, coming back to develop, of course, feels more comfortable. The stress is indeed great. In Korea, there are many voices of doubt." He continued, "Much of China's audience still don't know me, many things are still in an uncertain stage, the mental stress can't be small."

Recently, Lay became the cover boy for the July issues of Ok! InStyle and Easy magazine.
