YG Yang Hyun Suk, "I Will Donate All Million Dollars of Cash Dividend"

YG Entertainment's CEO Yang Hyun Suk revealed that the cash dividend of a million dollars that he will be receiving as YG's major shareholder to poor children. YG, who earned the most of all entertainment companies last year, decided to donate this earnings to children, which totaled to a million dollars.

Yang Hyun Suk talked about donating while being interviewed about Lee Hi's first album. He said, "I knew YG gave cash to shareholders but I found out that it was more than a million dollars through the media. Without a single penny left behind, I will be donating it to children who cannot receive surgery due to financial struggles."

YG has always been consistent in donations. All artists and the CEO of YG Entertainment has been persistently donating since 2009.

Yang Hyun Suk said, "Even since the day I created YG, I never thought of earning a lot of money. I just wanted YG to be a company that spreads through America, Europe, and Japan, becoming a big company. So I decided to make our stocks for a good purpose but I feel like I was a bit late in putting that into action, so I feel a bit guilty."

He also revealed why he chose children to donate to. He said, "While raising two children, I heard of children in the hospital who can't receive surgeries because they don't have enough money. That's why I decided to donate to them."

He lastly added, "YG didn't do well because I'm so great. It was only possible through the endless practice and efforts put in by the artists and through all the love from the fans. So I always have a desire to pay back this grace through donations, and I'm ashamed that I did not do this any eariler."
