‘The Vampire Diaries’ Star Paul Wesley Already Moved On From Nina Dobrev’s Departure; Actor Says Stefan Salvatore Is Now Obsessed With Caroline Forbes

Ever since "The Vampire Diaries" started, fans witnessed the importance of Elena Gilbert in the lives of the Salvatore brothers. When Nina Dobrev opted to leave the show, many expressed their concern on how things would work out. Actor Paul Wesley believes that there's nothing to worry for his character who is already captivated by someone else.

"Stefan doesn't give a sh*t because he cares about her," said "The Vampire Diaries" star Paul Wesley while pointing to Candice Accola at the recently concluded San Diego Comic-Con.

"He's obsessed with her, he's obsessed with Caroline, but she ain't havin' none of that. He's throwing himself at her and she's like, 'back off, son!'"

Executive producer Julie Plec likewise revealed that the upcoming season will feature more "Steroline" scenes that have "very unexpected twists and turns."

"The fun of this couple is they're just coming together," she said as reported by Entertainment Weekly. "They're just getting really cemented in their romantic status. She's trying really hard not to be ready."

As much as "The Vampire Diaries" star Paul Wesley wants to pursue Candice Accola's character, Caroline Forbes wants Stefan Salvatore to work hard for her love.

In real life though, "The Vampire Diaries" star Paul Wesley and Candice Accola are friends.

At the same convention, he talked about filming steamy scenes with her.

"I just love making Candice feel awkward on set. Candice is married; I'm friends with her husband; I love when we get to do make-out scenes because it's uncomfortable and so funny," said Phoebe Tonkin's boyfriend.

Candice Accola tied the knot with The Fray's guitarist, Joe King, last October 2014.

Meanwhile, "The Vampire Diaries" fans should also expect to see the resurrection of Damon Salvatore's bad side. With Nina Dobrev's Elena Gilbert gone, Julie Plec said that he'll spiral.

"It's,'Who am I without this girl right by my side?'" Julie Plec said as reported by EW. "'She's my center, the one who grounds me.' The lines are going to get a little crooked. We're going to see a lot of naughty Damon trying not to be naughty."
