Juniel's First Japanese Studio Album 'Juni' Receives Hot Response, Takes Over Chart with CNBLUE's Jung Yong Hwa Duet 'Fool'

Juniel released her first studio album Juni on March 6 consisting of 11 self-composed songs and a Japanese version of duet song "Fool" with CNBLUE's Jung Yong Hwa.

The solo artist is leading the way to become the representative of female singer-songwriter.

According to Recochoku, one of Japan's biggest music streaming and digital music downloads site, her debut track "Fool" composed by label mate CNBLUE's Jung Yong Hwa topped the Daily K-Pop Asia Chart on March 5.

"Fool" was included as a bonus track in the album, the song was previously released as part of Juniel's debut in Korea. The song is gaining explosive reactions from many fans and was introduced in TV program Mezamashi.

Juniel made her major debut in Japan with "Forever" on November 2011 with her cute looks and angelic voice. And her second single "Sakura: Todokanu Omoi" received four tie-ups and was used as an ending theme for various television shows, such as "Music B.B.," "Music Focus" and "King Kong no Arukoto Naikoto." The beautiful melody, bright yet soft voice, and sensitive lyrics were highly noted.

Through songs like "Ready Go," "Dream and Hope," "Forever" and "Sakura Todokanu Omoi" she was able to prove her composing skills. She grabbed the attention of many in Japan when she won the audition program "Niji Iro Supernova" in 2010.

Juniel debuted in Korea on June 7, 2012 and nabbed the Best new Artist of the Year at the 27th Golden Disc Awards.
