'Digimon Adventure Tri' Special Edition Digivice Now Available For Pre-Order

Anime fans may be the occasional watcher or the full blown otaku, and at a con they're almost hard to tell apart.

Until one of them pulls out some crazy expensive or crazy amazing self-made replica of an item from a series.

Then you definitely know who the real Otaku is.

Nevertheless, there's nothing more exciting than having a special piece of merchandise from your favorite series, and Bandai is prepared to offer "Digimon" fans their own Digivice. According to reports, a "Digimon Adventure Tri" Complete Selection Animation Digivice will be released to celebrate the premiere of the brand new "Digimon" series.

So far, fans in ANN forum are very pleased with the updated design and functionality of the new Digivice.

"That brand-new Digivice looks beautifully epic," said Mr. Oshawott.

Other fans are lamenting the 7,020 Yen (Approx. $57 US Dollars) price tag.

"Another one!?! If this one has a game as good as the xrosloader then I'll cave. Otherwise it is too much money for me," commented Jajanken.

According to the Premium Bandai merchandise website, pre-orders for the device will begin on July 31. Anime News Network reports that this Digivice significantly differs from the previously announced 15th anniversary edition; it is set to "truly emulate the Digi-Destined experience with variaous lights and sounds to mimic those heard in the anime."

If you can't afford the Digivice, fans can still look forward to the brand new "Digimon Adventure Tri" six-part film series. The original Japanese voice cast for the digimon characters will reprise their roles alongside the following new Digi-destined voice cast:

Hitomi Yoshida as Mimi Tachikawa

Junya Enoki as Takeru Takaishi

Junya Ikeda as Jō Kido

M.A.O as Hikari Yagami

Mutsumi Tamura as Kōshirō Izumi

Natsuki Hanae as Taichi Yagami

Suzuko Mimori as Sora Takenouchi
