Person Who Killed Cecil The Lion Apologizes; Releases Long Letter To The Public!

The dentist who killed Cecil the Lion has released a lengthy letter, apologizing to the public about his act.

As known to the public, Dr. Walter J. Palmer, a dentist at the River Bluff Dental, was held responsible for the killing of a beloved lion in Zimbabwe named Cecil.

Fox 9 was able to obtail a letter written by palmer himself and published in online.

"I deeply regret that my pursuit of an activity I love and practice responsibly and legally resulted in the taking of this lion," he wrote "That was never my intention. I apologize profoundly for this inconvenience and promise you that we will do our best to resume normal operations as soon as possible."

To add to the news about the killed Lion named Cecil, Palmer also states in his letter that he assumed that everything in his trip was legal and that he was not breaking any laws.

"To my knowledge, everything about this trip was legal and properly handled and conducted," an exerpt from his letter read.

"I had no idea that the lion I took was a known, local favorite, was collared and part of a study until the end of the hunt," added the dentist. "I relied on the expertise of my local professional guides to ensure a legal hunt. I have not been contacted by authorities in Zimbabwe or in the U.S. about this situation, but will assist them in any inquiries they may have."

After his letter went public, some animal rights activist groups stil remain futile and are rallying outside his clinic to get their anger across. Some people are saying that should Palmer be telling the truth with his letter, that he should not be treated the way rallyists are treating him. 

As known to the public, Cecil the Lion was killed during a hunting trip that Palmer went on recently.
