Jessica Alba Upset By 'Negative Experience' With The Honest Company Sunscreen, Statement Here!

Customers having a "negative experience" with The Honest Company's Sunscreen has left Jessica Alba and co-founder Christopher Gavigan saddened.

According to a report on Just Jared, the company has released a statement to address the burn issues that some of its users have been experiencing.

"Protecting our loved ones and yours is the reason we founded The Honest Company," the official statement started as posted on its website. "As parents, it pains us to hear that anyone has had a negative experience with our Sunscreen."

The statement also mentioned that the product was developed with the founders children in mind. It even admitted that the founders' children use the product as well when they are out and under the sun.

"We have a dedicated team of Honest employees, parents, and partners who carefully reviewed our Sunscreen product to make sure that it meets our highest standards prior to release," the statement said further.

As reported by Entertainment Tonight, users of the The Honest Company Sunscreen took to social media to voice out their concerns. Most of the pictures showed customers' skin all red up and burnt despite apparently lavish use of the sunscreen. One customer even complained that their channels were not responding -- an issue that the statement also addressed.

"We're passionate about living up to your expectations as much as our own," it also explained. "We've personally picked up the phone to speak with many of you who have called our customer service hotline."

An expert that People consulted said some of the customers may have had allergic reaction to the ingredients and have mistaken them for sunburn. He also advised users of sunscreen in general to use it liberally and properly re-apply it to avoid problems.

Jessica Alba's The Honest Company was founded in 2011 out of concern that products available in the market might contain chemicals harmful for their children. Just last June, she was among those on their way to what was dubbed as America's Richest Self-Made Women and even graced the cover of Forbes for the issue.
