WINNER Member Kim Jin Woo To Star In New Korean-Chinese Drama This Fall

WINNER's Kim Jin Woo will try his hand at acting for the first time as he has been confirmed to star in an upcoming television drama.

On Tuesday, Aug. 4, the joint Korean-Chinese production company, Aura Media, revealed details for the forthcoming television show.

"WINNER's Kim Jin Woo and actress Park Min Ji have been cast in 'The Magical Cell Phone' (working title). They will begin filming around the middle of August," revealed Aura Media, as reported by Soompi.

The Magical Cell Phone, is expected to broadcast during the fall season. The drama is going to be a romantic comedy about a famous woman falling in love with a typical guy.

Aside from his acting ambitions, Kim Jin Woo is going to have a full schedule in the coming months. His group, WINNER, is currently working on preparations for their new album comeback and will hold their second Japan tour, which is scheduled to kick off in September.
