CL To Play Freaky Deaky Fest In Chicago This Halloween

K-Pop fans in the Midwest should take out their calendar and cross out any Halloween plans they've made.

CL, the leader of 2NE1 and one of South Korea's most popular singers, will perform at the Freaky Deaky Fest on October 31 in Bridgeview, Illinois. Located southwest of the Chicago Loop, the festival is one of the biggest concert series heading to Chicago this year.

CL announced the news through her official Facebook page on August 5.

"Chicago!" began the message, "I'm playing Freaky Deaky fest this Halloween!"

The post also sent fans to purchase tickets on Freaky Deaky Fest's official website.

Freaky Deaky Fest is in its seventh year, and recently announced that it expanded to three days. The festival begins on October 30 and ends on November 1.

Along with CL, the Freaky Deaky Fest will feature many popular artists. 2 Chainz, Bassnectar, Armin Van Buren, Big Gigantic, Pretty Lights, and Carnage will headline the three days of the festival.

CL is one of the many festival performers listed, but is not the only Korean act who will perform. Korean American singer Tokimonsta (Jennifer Lee) will also performing during the Freaky Deaky Fest.

The news is the latest in a slew of American promotions from CL, who has been spending time in the United States in preparation of the release of an English language album.

CL will also perform at the Mad Decent Block Party in Philadelphia on August 7, and also in Brooklyn on August 8. Her final Mad Decent Block Party show will be in Los Angeles on September 19.
