4Minute's HyunA ups the ante in the trailer for her upcoming fourth EP, joining the K-pop scene's heated summer competition.

As part of K-pop girl group 4Minute, HyunA has gained recognition in South Korea as a rapper and sex symbol, and her latest teaser trailer continues to promote that image.

HyunA, (Kim Hyuna), who has also made waves as a soloist, as part of the project duo Trouble Maker, and the lead female role in Psy's iconic "Gangnam Style" music video, released the 19+ rated trailer for her fourth EP on August 9. The trailer video was shot in North America, and features HyunA in a variety of situations.

The trailer is gaining attention for its highly sexual nature, including scenes featuring HyunA topless and wearing only panties by a pool.

According to the video, it first aired on SBS MTV in South Korea on August 5.

Beginning with a scene of HyunA passed out on the street after a night of partying, the album trailer features the singer in a multitude of summer partying scenes and showing off her sultry fashion and latest trends.

The rapper breaks K-pop norms and is seen drinking, smoking, shaking her rear end to the camera, and making out. The nearly two-minute long video also features a pair of women kissing.

Fans commenting on YouTube had a variety of reactions, raising from praise to concern over HyunA's image. Others suggested that HyunA hopes to make the shift from K-pop to international stardom with the video.

"I'm sure HyunA's fanboys [are] going to hit [the] 'replay' button many, many many times," wrote Jasmine Lover.

"You don't understand what HyunA is doing here," wrote Rona Tkyss. "She's doing the big move, to be an international or Hollywood Star, not just a small K-pop star. When I see her video, I [feel like I'm] watching a Hollywood video not a Korean video."

Lee mh expressed other concerns saying, "I hope she doesn't get hate in Korea for this."

"HyunA's sexy is back, now more [of a] rebel than before," wrote Kabbyz Grattyz. "This music video will cause much controversy, maybe it will be censored for its high content of alcohol, drugs, cigarettes, etc. Anyway, I will excitedly wait for the music video."

The trailer does not announce the date of the release of the mini album.
