John Travolta's Alleged Gay Lover Drops Case; Actor Pays Ex-Pilot To Cancel Scandalous Lawsuit?

John Travolta's alleged gay lover surprisingly dropped their high-profile case just one week before they were supposed to face each other in court. Right after the development was reported by Radar Online, people quickly speculated that the "Pulp Fiction" actor probably paid his ex-pilot to cancel the scandalous lawsuit.

A court clerk confirmed earlier this week that John Travolta's self-proclaimed gay lover, Doug Gotterba, specifically requested last July 31 for Santa Barbara Superior Court Judge Donna Geck to dismiss their highly-anticipated case.

The lawsuit was reportedly signed off as per Doug Gotterba's request. Since it was also dismissed with prejudice, the case can never be filed again.

The National Enquirer recalled how John Travolta slammed gay allegations thrown by Doug Gotterba, who was also the former pilot of the actor's private plane. The matinee idol then filed a lawsuit claiming his former employee violated a confidentiality agreement signed in 1987.

However, John Travolta's alleged gay lover reasoned that the confidentiality agreement was not valid. Doug Gotterba then filed a counter-suit in 2012.

Aside from filing a lawsuit to counter the actor's claims, Doug Gotterba also threatened to expose John Travolta's gay lifestyle in a tell-all book that was supposed to be released this year. According to The Hollywood Gossip, the expose was supposed to detail how the two were in a six-year relationship before John Travolta married actress Kelly Preston in 1991.

Soon after Radar Online reported about Doug Gotterba dropping the case, readers speculated about how John Travolta probably killed the gay expose by paying off his alleged ex-lover.

"Travolta wrote his ex a HUUUUUUUGE check... as he has done many times before," commented a user named NYChaseter.

Many readers agreed  to comment and posted their opinions about John Travolta gay rumors that have been circulating for years.

"Cheaper just to leave the closet door open," said a user named Ronnie Vegoia.

Comments made by John Travolta about the gay allegations also hinted about how he probably paid off Doug Gotterba.

"It's just about people wanting money," he said when asked by Daily Beast about the gay rumors.

"That's all. It happens on many levels."
