Lindsay Lohan News: Actress Files Lawsuit Versus Ex-Business Partner, Demands $60M

Lindsay Lohan news reported how the actress recently filed a lawsuit versus her ex-business partner demanding a sum of $60 million.

According to a report from Page Six, the controversial celebrity and her brother, Michael Lohan Jr., officially sued former partner Fima Potik for accusing them of stealing an online-shopping app idea.

"He's a celebrity leech who has abused the court system," said Lindsay Lohan's lawyer, Ravi Batra.

Lindsay Lohan avoided news publications by letting her brother, Michael Lohan Jr., attend the hearing earlier this week.

Lawyers of Fima Potik reportedly quit his case due to outstanding legal bills. As a result, Manhattan Judge Saliann Scarpula gave him 30 days to find new counsel.

Lindsay Lohan made news earlier this year when Fima Potik accused her and Michael Lohan Jr. of stealing his idea for a celebrity closet application. As a result of the accusations, the launch of Lindsay Lohan's fashion company, Vigme, was delayed.

Court order has required Fima Potik to submit documents proving that Lindsay Lohan and her brother indeed stole trade secrets that were supposed to be exclusive to his app. The developer has repeatedly requested for extensions and has not been able to provide proof to solidify his claims.

Aside from her lawsuit against Fima Potik, Lindsay Lohan has been in the news due to reports that she will soon be releasing her highly anticipated tell-all book.

According to a report from Radar Online, the controversial actress has signed up with London-based book publishers to release a memoire later this year.

"She wants to tell everything, even some of the stuff that happened when she was a kid growing up in predatory Hollywood," an insider explained.

"She wants to tell the truth in her own words - about her folks, her job, her love life, the drugs, the parties, the highs, the lows, the lies."

Marie Claire also reported about how Lindsay Lohan herself posted an Instagram video to hint fans about her tell-all book.

"Teaser for my book FYI #karma," she captioned a video on the social media site.

E! News added that Lindsay Lohan's memoir will be "deeply personal" and will be based on a journal that she has kept for years.
