Disney World Expansion Confirmed To Include Star Wars; CEO Releases Official Statement!

News about the expansion for Disney World has been making the rounds on the internet as of late, after the company announced something that fans have been considering to be really exciting during the 2015 D23 Expo.

Bob Iger, who is the Walt Disney Company Chairman and CEO, has announced himself, that the theme park will be featuring Star Wars-themed rides and developments. The said attractions will be featured in several branches including Anaheim, California, as well as Orlando, Florida.

"I am thrilled to announce the next chapter in the long and exciting history between Disney Parks and Star Wars," the CEO said, as quoted from Coming Soon.

"Through each new attraction and new land we create, we push the boundaries of what is possible. And as you can imagine, with Star Wars, we are taking that to a whole new level, with a whole galaxy to explore."

As previously reported, the plans for the Star Wars-themed attractions have been planned since the company acquired the franchise. Fans say that now that the film is set to come out, the tie-up to the Disney World expansion is a good decision for the company.

The source cited above also added that the lands mentioned will have two signature attractions, one enabling the park-goers to pilot the Millenium Falcon and one putting them in the middle of an intense battle.

Moreso, concept art for the said attractions have also been released and has been excitin fans all over the world.

As to when the Disney World Expansion is set to begin and be open to the public, the company has yet to announce it. But as soon as the tickets go on sale, the company is sure to gain a whole new surge of park-goers who are fans of the Star Wars franchise.
