'Monster Musume' Anime Gets Special NSFW Papi Egg Themed Merchandise

Commodification is the name of the game in the anime industry, as the biggest fans are always willing to shell out the biggest cash for themed merchandise.

For a series like "Monster Musume" however, things can get a little not safe for people under the age of 18.

Recently it was revealed that at a special "Monster Musume" anime fan event, some NSFW Papi themed merchandise would be given away. In celebration of the sixth episode of the series, fans who are over 18 (or whatever the age limit is for the event) will receive the Tenga Egg adult toy. If an attendee is not of age, they will instead receive a bromide poster.

So far, fans in an ANN forum are not surprised about the Tenga egg giveaway, especially considering the sexual nature of "Monster Musume." In fact, some fans believe that other series could learn from the pure fan service angle.

"This is brilliant. A perfect tie in for 'Monster Musume.' Other fan service shows should learn," said Suncraft.

I won't describe what a Tenga Egg is, but curious readers can check out this NSFW video demonstration.

"Monster Musume" was originally a manga series that ran in Okayado. Seven Seas Entertainment, which licensed the series outside of Japan, describes the story as follows:

"When a hapless human named Kurusu Kimihito is inducted as a "volunteer" into the government exchange program, his world is turned upside down. A snake-like lamia named Miia comes to live with him, and it is Kurusu's job to take care of her and make sure she integrates into his everyday life."

It goes on:

"Unfortunately for Kurusu, Miia is undeniably sexy, and the law against interspecies breeding is very strict. Even worse, when a ravishing centaur girl and a flirtatious harpy move in, what's a full-blooded young man with raging hormones to do?!"

"Monster Musume" began airing July 7. Crunchyroll is currently streaming the series outside of Japan.
