Siri's Voice Recognition iOS9 Feature Is The New Upgrade, More Security With A Device That Won't Respond To A Stranger

Siri Voice Recognition will be possible in the iOS9.

Voice Recognition Siri has just pushed the boundaries of what a virtual assistant is able to do. The smarter Siri’s new feature will be available come the iOS9 where she will be able to respond specifically to your voice saying “Hey Siri.”

According to Mashable, this new upgrade to Siri was made available when the new iOS9.1 beta was launched last Thursday. The virtual assistant can reportedly be “trained” to respond to commands made from one particular voice alone.

This new Siri is something out of a sci-fi movie and the next step could possibly be an assistant that responds with a specific personality or an assistant that responds to moods exhibited from the voice alone.

Apple users will be able to access this new feature by going to Settings, clicking on the general settings, selecting Siri and “Allow ‘Hey Siri’” on any Apple device. Once this has been enabled, a five-step process follows so that Siri will be able to identify one’s voice.

This protocol works by having the device owner say “Hey Siri” three times and then add two more additional commands. After going through this whole process Siri’s voice recognition feature will be in full effect.

“Similar in vein to the way Apple aimed its Touch ID feature to work better and better the more you unlocked an iPhone using the fingerprint scanning sensor,” as reported in MacRumors.

The article continued, “It seems that set-up process will guide users into stating words or phrases to better acclimate Siri with each iPhone owner.”
