Super Junior member Siwon expressed gratitude to his fans after they donated a total of 5.5 tons of rice in his honor.

On September 14, Siwon uploaded an Instagram collage that showed the sacks of rice lined up neatly under decorated wreaths, banners and posters of the idol.

"What a surprise, 5.5t of rice! Thank you all for the sincere support and great love. Your love will be delivered on the right place :)" said Siwon.

Rice donation is a popular form of fan gift from K-Pop fans, and these are subsequently given to the hungry and gain the heartfelt appreciation of their recipient idols.

Siwon's rice donation comes a few days before the premiere of his new MBC rom-com She Was Pretty (also known as Puzzled Lovers) where he takes on the role of a mysterious features editor that works in the same fashion magazine as the romantic leads played by Park Seo Joon and Hwang Jung Eum.

She Was Pretty has gained attention after SM Entertainment announced that it will be the Siwon's final drama project before he enlists in the military later this year. His fellow Super Junior members Donghae and Eunhyuk are also slated to enlist before the year ends.
