Fans anticipating EXO's Japanese promotions are in for some sad news.

On October 23, it was revealed through EXO's official Japanese website that member Lay will not be participating in the group's upcoming Japanese tour.

The staff shared the announcement via a message on the website. "Lay won't be able to attend the 'EXO Planet #2 - The EXO'luXion - In Japan' which will be help from October 31 through November 15," the message began as translated by AllKpop. "Due to his promotions in China, his schedule was too difficult to adjust."

EXO's company further apologized to the fans expecting to see Lay. However, they also highlighted the members that will be appearing. Hopefully seeing members Suho, Xiumin, Chanyeol, Chen, Baekhyun, D.O, Kai, and Sehun will make up for Lay.

Lay has currently been promoting in a number of Chinese movies and variety programs. He's earned praise for his time on SMG Go Fighting! and on Running Man China. Most recently, Lay was announced as a cast member for Jackie Chan's latest Chinese-Indian co-production movie Kung Fu Yoga.

Meanwhile, the rest of EXO have been preparing for both their Japanese concert tour and their official Japanese debut on November 9. 'EXO Planet #2 - The EXO'luXion - In Japan' will kick off in Fukuoka starting October 31.
