Cloud Strife In 'Super Smash Bros.' Breaks The Internet, He Comes WIth A Limit Break And Odin Summon

Cloud Strife on "Super Smash Bros." just confirmed years of rumors.

The "Super Smash Bros." video game is undoubtedly very successful, as the game has already spawned into a gaming franchise since the first game was released. Through the years there were upgrades and new additions, but nothing is more epic than Cloud Strife on "Super Smash Bros."

For those who don’t know who Cloud Strife is, he is one of the most iconic characters from the “Final Fantasy” gaming franchise by Square Enix. He is mercenary and an ex-member of an elite military unit called SOLDIER from the “Final Fantasy 7” video game.

IGN reported that the “Final Fantasy 7” protagonist would be joining the roster of "Super Smash Bros." playable characters on 3DS and Wii U.

The news was revealed when Nintendo uploaded a video on the "Super Smash Bros." Youtube Channel and put the Internet into a frenzy. It was also initially reveled on Nindento Direct.

The trailer opened with the “'Super Smash Bros.' x 'Final Fantasy'” and the previewed a stage based on Midgar, a famous “Final Fantasy 7” city. A familiar battle theme from the Square Enix video game played as snippets of Cloud Strife prepares for battle and goes into different battles with other Nintendo characters.

Cloud Strife in "Super Smash Bros." has two outfits previewed in the trailer. There is the iconic “Final Fantasy 7” gear and broad sword and the alternate costume is based on his “Final Fantasy: Advent Children” outfit.

He is also comes complete with limit breaks as well as an Odin summon.

There is no date revealed as to when Cloud will be available yet, but fans can look forward to a possible Cloud Amiibo figure.
