Tim Tebow and Olivia Culpo split over his Christian values, according to gossip sites. It seems the backfield wasn't in motion. Will Tim and Olivia work things out or go back to the showers?

According to New York Daily News gossip site Confidenti@l, Olivia Culpo broke up with former NFL quarterback Tim Tebow he didn't want to have sex with her.

Heisman winner Tebow is a devout Christian who wishes to remain chaste until marriage. The 2012 Miss USA and Miss Universe reportedly didn't sign on for this when she began dating the former Florida Gators superstar.

Tebow, 28,  and Culpo , 23, reportedly started dating early last month, but when Tebow stuck by his commitment to chastity, Olivia Culpo decided that didn't fit her lifestyle.

"He was really into her," a source told Confidenti@l. "He was sending her love letters and cute notes and professing his love for her.  She had to break up with him because she just couldn't handle it. He still hits her up, but she just can't deal with the sex thing. He's pretty adamant about it, I guess."

The New York Daily News first reported the news on Thanksgiving Day, Nov. 26.

TMZ reported that the two weren't dating but hung out a few times with mutual friends.

A source told Us last month that the athlete thought Culpo was "a goddess." In 2009 Tebow told a reporter that he was saving himself for marriage.

"She is very open to getting to know Tim and exploring the chance of something more with him," a source told E! News in October.

"She is really attracted to Tim's personality. They are having a great time with each other and are looking to spend more time once the football season slows down."

"It just didn't work out," an insider told Us magazine.

Culpo was described as "heartbroken" in June after her split from Nick Jonas.

"Long distance is always tough, and dealing with that is always an interesting thing, but it's all good. We're both busy and young and enjoying life, so, it's going well," Jonas told ABC News at the time.

In 2012, the football player dated Camilla Belle, another Jonas brother ex-girlfriend.
