This week's episode begins with the tragic stabbing of Azuna with Ritsuka devastated. She reveals her powers and then passes out. Lindo carries her away.

After Azuna's death, Mage, Shiki, and Urie realize that Ritsuka is the grimoire. Lindo brings Ritsuka to the Exorcist Society to keep her safe. Ritsuka's heart continues to break for Azuna. Lindo comforts her. Ritsuka asks Lindo to stay by her side as she sleeps.

After she falls asleep, Lindo receives a painful cleansing from the other exorcists. AFfter ward, Ritsuka is called for her own cleansing. The exorcists try to chain her up and eliminate the grimoire. Lindo saves her just before they can get started. The exorcists claim the only way to keep everyone safe is to sacrifice Ritsuka.

Lindo takes her away and they try to escape. Exorcists chase after them and run into Mage, Shiki, and Urie. They obviously won't let anything happen to Ritsuka. Meanwhile, Lindo tells Ritsuka they're not really brother and sister. Lindo is actually half vampire, and his mother - Ritsuka's aunt - disowned him.

As children, Lindo was always trying to hide his vampire side, but Ritsuka was always there for him. Lindo then reveals that he has romantic feelings for her. His confession is interrupted by Rem, who has come to confess his own feelings. They prepare to duel for her.

Rem has the upper hand, and almost kills Lindo. Ritsuka stops Rem and tells him that she hates him for lying to her. She tells Rem to never come back.

Ritsuka helps Lindo into bed and he tries to recover from his battle with Rem.  With resolve, Ritsuka swears to live,
