Synopsis/Recap:

This week's episode begins with the arrival of Basara to the tournament battlefield against Leohart. Basara's father doesn't watch, while everyone else fearfully hopes for Basara to win. The odds are not in Basara's favor, as his main maneuver Banishing Shift always leaves him open for a moment.

Basara tries a different approach at first, using perfume to create copies of himself. Leohart however counters with own attack, and the copies disappear. Zest notes that it appears that Basara is fighting as though he's hiding something. For the most part, he's losing against Leohart.

Finally, he takes a tiny heart pill to unleash his hidden demon powers. He attacks Leohart and turns him quickly into a pulp on the ground. Unfortunately, the power is also tearing Basara's body apart.

Noticing that he might hurt himself, Mio enters the battlefield to stop him. There's a blinding light and then Mio is transported into a dream state where everyone at school is after her. Then she's falling to her death.

In the dream state, Mio is attacked and then saved by Basara. But the memories and dreams keep cracking. Basara swings his sword at her, then fights himself to stop attacking. His body threatens to break. But he's finally able to overcome the transformation as they share a kiss.

They are transported back to the battlefield. Basara helps Leohart to his feet. Bephelgor is dead. But it appears the council have one last trump card up their sleeve.

Chaos the demon appears in the sky. He's the king of all heroic spirits. But then Chaos summons even more heroic spirits to destroy the city, causing their plan to back fire. Luckily, Basara is able to counter one of Chaos' attacks with Banishing Shift.
