After many weeks of filming, behind-the-scene teaser photos, and an official release date announcement, "Penny Dreadful" season three has finished filming.

Unfortunately, there's still three more months of editing to do be done.

Nevertheless, a few last "Penny Dreadful" season three spoilers were recently revealed on Twitter (with a few photos on Instagram) of a big horseback ride scene. Fans can check out the video (via producer Christopher King's Twitter) and the photos below.

Though it's not certain what (or who) is involved in this horseback scene, one could guess it has to do with the American west based on photos from the official "Penny Dreadful" Instagram account. American west pretty much implies that it has something to do with fan favorite gunslinger Ethan Chandler (played by Josh Hartnett).

Earlier this year it was reported that Ethan would have a close Native American friend named Kaeternay (played by Wes Studi), so it's also possible that the Western feel to the scene will have something to do with their friendship.

However, there's also been a hint that Vanessa Ives (played by Eva Green) may also be headed to America to seek treatment with American Dr. Seward (played by Patti LuPone).

Though it's not certain what's going on in the desert, one expectation fans can be pretty certain about is many other locations than the streets of London fans may be used to. Creator John Logan confirmed this last year in an interview with THR.

"Season three is a real change of pace for us, which is good. We can get out of the alleys and cobblestone bars of Victorian London and see a bit more of the world. Essentially there's a pull bringing these characters together, and it's supernatural, partly romantic, partly shared destiny," said Logan.
