Over the weekend, 2NE1 leader CL (Lee Chaerin) was featured by as a "breakout beauty star" after a front-row appearance at NY Fashion Week.

CL was spotted at the Alexander Wang Fall 2016 Ready-to-Wear show, and the fashion arbiters at gushed at her stylish look which consisted of a black grometted jacket and ribbed halter top.

Taking together her ensemble and makeup, CL "was the picture of winter cool," wrote Vogue's Mackenzie Wagoner in the feature.

"Her porcelain complexion struck a stark contrast to her clothes, an effect further emphasized by her white-gray dye job, deep oxblood lipstick, and glossy brown eyeshadow finished with a black flick of liquid liner," Wagoner added.

CL also shared a photo which shows her having an affectionate moment with Alexander Wang, with the latter giving the idol a kiss on the cheek.

CL's front-row appearance was expected given that she is also participating in the Alexander Wang campaign next month for the high fashion designer's Spring/Summer 2016 collection. She joins the likes of American artist-producer Travis Scott and male model Diego Villareal as part of the WangSquad that seem to be serving as ambassadors for the upcoming collection.

Last week, CL also attended the Saint Laurent fashion show in Los Angeles, the only Korean celebrity to do so, and again proving her increasing influence as a fashionista icon.
