Synopsis/Recap:

This week's episode begins with Satou rescuing Kei from holding. Satou is disappointed that Kei still wants to protect humans despite what they've done to him. Kei winds up shooting Satou to stop him from mercilessly killing three helpless doctors.

Satou gets back up, but Kei and the doctors are gone. While they hide, they argue about what to do. Satou reveals to Kei that Ajin can die, only if they are decapitated and cannot retrieve their brain matter. Satou vows to kill Kei for betraying him.

Kei tries to ambush Satou and fails. However, just Satou is about to cut him down, Kei's black ghost comes out. The black ghost knocks Satou down and out of the way. Kei escapes, following the marks left behind by the doctors he saved. One of the doctors hides in a room, thinking the marks will get him in trouble if he's at the end of them.

It doesn't matter - Satou kills him anyway. Kei reaches the roof of the facility and one of the doctors explains to him that he wants to change his life and start helping ajin instead of experimenting on them. Satou unfortunately shoots the doctor and then shoots Kei. Kei tries to use his black ghost as defense as drags the struggling doctor away.

The doctor tells Kei to leave him behind, but Kei refuses. Kei reaches the ledge and considers throwing the doctor onto the bushes below. Satou sees a portion of Kei's memory while their black ghosts fight. Kei manages to throw the doctor over and follows his advice to try to escape by car.

Kei jumps off the roof and into the water. The leading Japanese researcher of ajin declares he's leaving since the sample is now gone.
