Girl's Day Singer Hyeri Rushed To Hospital With Severe Fever And Headache, Diagnosed With Meningitis

Hyeri's extreme schedule has taken a toll on the young singer. 

At 9 AM KST on March 6, Girl's Day member Hyeri was rushed to a nearby hospital to receive emergency treatment due to a high fever and headache, according to agency Dream T Entertainment.

After receiving intial treatment, she underwent a more thorough, full medical examination.

Her agency clarified that after performing at a concert for her recent drama "Reply 1988," she went home to rest. 

A representative of Dream T issued a statement relating to Hyeri's condition. "Hyeri is currently receiving treatment for her fever and head pain."

However, the results of the medical test show that Hyeri has meningitis, which is an inflammation of the area surrounding the brain. Dream T confirmed the test results as well, stating, "She has been diagnosed with meningitis and will have to stay in the hospital for a fews days." 

"We have canceled all of her appearances for today and will adjust her schedule in the future based on the results of the health test," the representative further explained.

Dream T concluded their statement with a promise, saying, "We apologize for worrying her fans and will do everything to ensure she makes a speedy recovery." 

Hyeri has recently received immense popularity from her lead role in the drama "Reply 1988," where she played the role of Sung Duk-sun.
