Apple MacBook Pro 2016 Rumors: New Laptops To Be More Compatible With Gaming And Other High-Performance Apps?

Although not quite expected, the much-anticipated new Apple MacBook Pro 2016 was not part of the new products unveiled in the recently concluded Apple March event, where the new 4-inch iPhone 5SE, the new 9.7-inch iPad Pro and the cheaper Apple Watch; but despite its absence, fans became more eager to obtain new information about the already due new lineup of MacBook Pro.

According to International Business Times, the "aging MacBook Pro" has not seen an update in four years and it's about time Apple give it an upgrade. With nothing seen for the new lineup of MacBook Pro during Apple's March event, the next possible event for its unveiling will be in the Worldwide Developers Conference in June.

The report also highlighted some of the most requested upgrades of Apple users for the new lineup of MacBook Pro. One of which is for the new MacBook Pro to throw in Intel's Thunderbolt 3, a connector technology that could handle fast data transfer speeds, which can reach up to 40 gigabits-per-second is used with the USB-C port currently used by the 2015 MacBook.

The report added that with Thunderbolt 3's extra speed, MacBook Pro will be able to support external dedicated graphic cards, which means the device becomes more compatible for gaming and other high-end performance applications.

"By supporting external graphics cards, Apple could give its customers the option to access better graphics processing power when they're at home, while maintaining the portability and performance of its notebooks," International Business Times wrote. "Razer, a PC gaming hardware company, is one of the first to demonstrate its feasibility in the slim Razer Blade Stealth notebook. So it's not necessarily out of the realm of possibilities."

Meanwhile, Christian Daily in its recent report speculates that the new Apple MacBook Pro will not be available until late 2016 "since Intel's 14nm Core M chip to be used in the newest addition to the MacBook roster isn't available until late 2016," as well.
