Seolhyun's New Commercial Discriminates Female Voters?

AOA's singer-actress Kim Seolhyun's commercial is under fire for allegedly discriminating against female voters.

The Korean Women’s Association United insisted immediate withdrawal for National Election Commission's new commercial as it allegedly gave a wrong message for female voters.

While the commercial puts emphasis on the upcoming general election, it is seen to be gender bias and discriminating. The reason is because it depicts female voters as being selfish and only caring about cosmetics/beauty products, rather than heading to the ballet box and submitting their vote.

The NEC has issued an apology statement on Monday, Mar. 28, and stopped distributing Seolhyun's commercial.

Seolhyun was appointed by the commission as honorary ambassador for the 20th National Assembly Election on March 3 to encourage people to vote in April.
