'Crash Bandicoot' 2016 PS4 Release Date: Game Comeback Not Possible Anymore?

A previous report probably sparked rumors regarding the comeback of the classic game "Crash Bandicoot."

In Game Spot's report, it mentioned a statement from NECA seemed to be directly announcing the much-awaited game will be returning to PS4 consoles.

According to Pixel Dan, during his New York Toy Fair interview: "Finally, we've been able to get back in with Sony," he said referring to the other new toys it's currently making. "Looking at some of their other titles, I see they're bringing Crash Bandicoot back, which is really cool."

In the same report, Arne Meyer, in her interview last July 2014, also confirmed the high possibility of the much-awaited comeback saying: "It's never off the table. It's not too much time passing, but it's the same issues we explored with the Jak game: Is it something that makes sense to us now? I mean, we still have people that worked on the Crash games in the studio. We never forget our past and it'd be great for nostalgic reasons. It'd be the same reason as why there isn't a Jak 4: I don't know if it's playing to our strengths right now."

However, just recently, Bruce Straley of Naughty Dog, the company does not opt to revive a video game especially when it gives them a hard time finding a new story, Playstation Lifestyle Net reported.

"It's been brought up before that this [Uncharted] is the first franchise that's willingly offed itself. We could probably keep selling and churn out a five, six or seven down the road.

But it's not strange to us at Naughty Dog. We decided not to do anymore Crash Bandicoot after "Crash Team Racing" rather than rehashing something where you're struggling to find a new voice or story.

Video games are the only industry where every single time someone picks up a joystick, they expect something familiar but it has to be something new. It has to have new mechanics."
