‘Sons Of Anarchy’ Season 8 In The Making? Will Charlie Hunnam Reprise The Role As Jackson "Jax" Teller Again?

''Sons of Anarchy'' first premiered on cable network FX on Sep. 3, 2008 and the popularity of the show has made the makers to release up till season 7. It is rumored that season 8 might get an extension and the filming might start soon.

4.9 million viewers per week used to watch the third season and season 4 and 5 too had phenomenal success. Deadline reported about the blockbuster success of the premiere of season 5 of this TV series ''Sons of Anarchy.'' Season 7 was first aired on Sep.9, 2014 and the last episode of this 13 episode series was aired on Dec. 9, 2014. A whopping 4.60 millions of viewership for season 7 made the fans expect a release of season 8.

Charlie Hunnam as Jackson "Jax" Teller, Katey Sagal as Gemma Teller Morrow, Mark Boone Junior as Robert "Bobby Elvis" Munson, Kim Coates as Alexander "Tig" Trager and Tommy Flanagan as Filip "Chibs" Telford are the main actors of this popular TV series which had broken many records of viewership on FX channel.

So will this crime drama TV series get an extension? ''The final episode of the TV series concluded on December 9, 2014. FX has decided to cancel the ''Sons of Anarchy'' TV series, after seven successful seasons. Thus the TV show is cancelled unfortunately'' is what release date reported.

So is the show really cancelled? The forums of ''Sons of Anarchy'' have demanded the return of season 8 for a long time. People too talked about airing the spin-off. Going by the popularity of the show, the fans might expect FX Productions to renew the show. ''However, yet on November 13, 2013, Kurt Sutter has claimed that he is in negotiations with the FX network about the spin-off to ''Sons of Anarchy'' that will be a prequel set in the 1960s. However, later in February 2015, he has stated that he would not work on the spin-off before 2017'' reported release date.

The creator and showrunner Kurt Sutter indicated that a spin off might be on the cards soon. Watch this space for more updates on this upcoming season 8.
