Originally planned to be launched by mid-March, Nikon delayed release of their new DSLR pertaining to the reason that a sudden upsurge of demand for the said camera took place, and Nikon was not able to prepared for the said volume, Imaging Resource reported.

The new release date for the said camera is on the latter part of April 2016.

The report furthermore added that both the D500 configuration and Nikon 16-80mm VR lens kit version have been delayed, along with the Nikon WT-7 wireless transmitter, MB-D17 multi-power battery pack, CF-DC8 semi-soft case, and other small accessories.

In a separate report by Youth Health Mag, it mentioned that the D500 is suitable for enthusiasts and professional photographers who would want to acquire a full frame camera but with a smaller built and a lighter weight.

The report furthermore added that Nikon D500 will be sporting 20.9 million pixels which is less than the company's other recent 24 MP SLRs. One of the impressive features of this new camera is it has a powerful 153-point AF system which enables it to capture precise object acquisition even during high-speed continuous shooting. It also possesses a burst rate of 10 fps which can capture 4K UHD movies.

In terms of ISO range, Nikon designed the camera to shoot at a range of ISO 100-51200 which is expandable Up to ISO 1640000 equivalent. In terms of image processing, Nikon D500 is also expected to sport an EXPEED 5 image processor, enabling it to deliver speedy performances and high quality images.

Additional features include a touch screen and a tilting monitor. It will also feature the SnapBridge support which enhances the value of your images via constant wireless connection with a smart device.

Nikon D500 is expected to be priced at around $2,000 with the Nikon D500 body alone, Gizmag reported.
