2016 is seeing a beeline of movies by Bradley Cooper. This movie which is being directed by Todd Phillips will be released on Aug. 19, 2016.

This upcoming American biographical criminal war comedy film's principal photography began Mar. 2, 2015 in Romania. Warner Bros. Pictures will distribute the movie worldwide. This movie is loosely based on the Rollingstone article named ''Arms and the Dudes'' by Guy Lawson.

''Based on a true story, Arms & the Dudes follows two friends in their early 20s (Hill and Teller) living in Miami during the Iraq War who exploit a little-known government initiative that allows small businesses to bid on U.S. Military contracts. Starting small, they begin raking in big money and are living the high life. But the pair gets in over their heads when they land a $300 million deal to arm the Afghan Military-a deal that puts them in business with some very shady people, not the least of which turns out to be the U.S. Government'' is the storyline of this movie which was revealed by comingsoon.net.

Miles Teller as David Packouz, Jonah Hill as Efraim Diveroli, Ana de Armas as Iz, J. B. Blanc as Bashkim, Bradley Cooper and Dan Bilzerian are the main cast of this movie. Deadline talked about the cast in details. Hollywood Reporter confirmed the news of Hill being the main character of this movie. ''Ana De Armas has landed a starring role opposite Miles Teller and Jonah Hill in Warner Bros' Arms And The Dudes, the Todd Phillips pic that kicks off production this month'' stated another article on Deadline.

The filming is going on as per schedule. Details about the role which Cooper will play was clarified by director Phillips in an interview to USA Today.

"It's as if your best friend from junior high has made all these crazy 'advancements' and he sucks you into this whirlwind life," says Phillips, adding that Bradley Cooper co-stars as David and Efraim's  idol in the international arms world. (Cooper also serves as a producer.)''
