‘Death Note’ Live Action 2016’s Official Title And Film Poster Finally Released!

The official site of "Death Note" live action 2016 has finally released their official title as "Death Note: Light Up the New World." It is one of the most anticipated Japanese films in 2016 and is directed by Shinsuke Sato. The first poster has also been revealed featuring the three main characters and the official title of the live action film.

It was on the 22nd of April that the official site of the "Death Note" live action 2016 released its first visual along with the slogan, "A decade after the incident... Six new 'Death Notes' have been scattered." According to the report, this upcoming film is also known for being the "forbidden sequel" to the past live action films and was set ten years after the events of 2016's "Last Name."

This live action will be broadcasted in Oct. 29 this year in Japan by the Warner Brothers Japan. It will feature Yugi Shion as Masaki Suda, Tsukuru Mishima as Masahiro Higashide and Ryuzaki as Sousuke Ikematsu.

It all takes place when Tsukuru Mishima, who leads the Death Note Task Force, and Ryuzaki, a private investigator and successor of L, had found out the existence of new death notes in their investigation.

According to Anime News Network, the storyline will be set in a world where cyber terrorism is common in a highly advanced information society. They have discovered that a person named Yugi Shion wants to fulfill the former Murderer's main goal by using his hacking skills. He also used Kira has his inspiration after all he think highly of him by being a cyber-hacker.

However, they will be fighting with each other for the six Death notes which will eventually lead them to a three-way battle according from the site. It seems that they need to follow the Six-Note Rule to which only six notebooks will be activated along their respective Shinigamis in the human world at once.
