New Disney movies have been announced for next year, 2018 and 2019. The list includes fairy tale films as well as live-action movies.

According to The Wrap, the studio has revealed updates regarding its movie release calendar. The films are still do not have titles, though.

The untitled, live-action fairy tale Disney movie, which was initially slated for Dec. 22, 2017, has now been changed to Jul. 28, 2017. This will be facing off with Sony's "Jumanji" reboot. Other movies expected for release on Dec. 22 next year are "The Croods 2," "The Six Billion Dollar Man" as well as an untitled Warner Bros. comedy.

Another untitled live-action fairy tale Disney movie is scheduled for Apr. 6, 2018 and is believed to square off with an animated film from Focus or Laika. Other untitled live-action Disney movies are slated for Aug. 3, 2018 and Dec. 25, 2018. A live-action Disney fairy tale film will also be released on Dec. 20, 2019.

E! News reported that the announcement of the nine live-action Disney movies came after the success of "The Jungle Book." The studio has "Alice Through the Looking Glass" coming this May 27 and "Pete's Dragon" (Aug. 12, 2016). "Beauty and the Beast" is slated for Mar. 17, 2017.

The publication added that Disney movie projects include "Cruella," starring Emma Stone, "Dumbo" which will be directed by Tim Burton and written by Ehren Kruger as well as "Maleficent 2" with Angelina Jolie set to reprise her role. The "Sleeping Beauty"-inspired film does not have a release date yet.

"I enjoyed it," Jolie told USA Today in 2014 about a sequel. "I just feel like we did this one thoroughly and I don't think there'd be another."

Business Insider noted that Disney has gained dominance in the box office this year. Moreover, the studio is just getting started. This may pose a big problem for other Hollywood studios as the company's latest announcement may cement their place on the top.
