Last week's episode showed how the residents of the mysterious Idaho town receiving food.

Meanwhile, Dr. Theo Yedlin (Jason Patric), being the only surgeon in town forced the leader, Jason Higgins (Tom Stevens) to give the answers his questions.

Tonight's episode will finally see David Pilcher's sister, Nurse Pam (Melissa Leo), returning this season with the show revealing a series of flashbacks about Jason's leadership.

Together with Nurse Pam, Sheriff Pope (Terrence Howard) is also going to return this season.

According to Zap2It, Toby Jones will return as David Pilcher in three or four episodes. Melissa Leo's Nurse Pam will appear not only in episode 3, but throughout the rest of season 2.

"He [C.J. Mitchum] was the only person who saw mankind disappear, because he would get up every 20 years and turn on the television and see the news. And one time he woke up and there was just snow and people were gone," Friedman told Zap2It.

The official synopsis for "Wayward Pines" season 2 episodes 3 titled "Once Upon A Time In Wayward Pines" released by TV guide reads:

"In a series of flashbacks, it's revealed why Jason Higgins was raised to be the leader of the first generation and favored child of Wayward Pines. Meanwhile, Nurse Pam resurfaces and becomes a deadly threat to the town; and Theo continues digging into why he was specifically chosen to join this spooky community."
