Park Yoochun Countersues Accuser For Blackmailing Him For $1 Million

One of the sexual assault cases surrounding Park Yoochun has taken a sharp turn.

Park has countersued the first woman who accused him of sexual assault. According to the lawsuit, the reason Park is suing is because the woman blackmailed him and falsely accused him.

The lawsuit also states that the woman demanded payment from Park by telling him, "I'll go to China, so give me 1 billion won (approximately $853,000)."

According to Korean media outlet Channel A, the woman stated that she was sexually assaulted by Park on June 4. Four days after that, Park's agency received a call from the woman. During that call, she said that before she files a lawsuit, she wanted to negotiate with the company.

During the phone call, the woman allegedly said, "after suffering sexual assault, I can't live in Korea anymore, so I'm going to move to China."

She then demanded 1 billion won as a settlement.

A representative of Park's agency then set up a meeting with the woman. However, at the meeting, the woman was nowhere to be found. Instead, her boyfriend, a member of a local violent gang in Seoul, showed up and asked for 500 million won (approximately $425,000) as settlement.

However, Park's agency refused the demands and the woman filed the lawsuit against Park later that day.
This is the basis for Park's false accusations and blackmail lawsuit against the woman, her boyfriend, and one other person.

Police investigators will now look into Park's lawsuit to determine its veracity and if the first case of sexual assault was fake.
