FNC Entertainment has announced last week that AoA Black's drummer and AoA's eight member, Youkyung, has not renewed her contract with the company. Youkyung will, however, continue to be AoA Black's drummer if ever the sub-unit will have a comeback.

According to ITechPost, Youkyung's contract has expired and the band member did not want to renew her contract. After discussing and long talks with Youkyung with the company, she has made sure that she did not want to renew her contract. FNC has posted on the group's official fan café the news. It did not shocked fans because Youkyung was barely in the group. She was never with the group when they promote most of their songs. She was also called a half angel unlike other members.

Allkpop has reported that AoA's Jimin has posted in instagram a picture of AoA with eight members with a simple caption "AoA". Jimin is hinting that AoA will always have eight members and that they will never forget Youkyung. It was also reported that Youkyung will still be Ao's designated drummer if opportunity arises. She will wholeheartedly perform with AoA Balcck again if they ever need her.

AoA's Youkyung's last promotion was when AoA was still considered a rookie. She promoted "Moya" with AoA Black with members Choa, Mina, Jimin, Yuna and Hyejeong. Fans really wanted for her to use her talent so they were okay with her leaving the group. Most of them expected this and wanted the best for her.

FNC is known to be a not-so good company when it comes to handling their idols. Fans have been demanding an AoA Black comeback and were promised last year but it did not happen. Now, it will likely not happen ever as Youkyung is gone. AoA will now focus on dance songs forever as they have gained their fans through that route.
