BLACKPINK May Be 'PLAYING WITH FIRE' But Their Newest Music Video Would Definitely Make You 'STAY'

The wait is finally over for the fans of BLACKPINK as the girl group finally drops their newest music videos for their singles 'Playing with Fire' and 'Stay.'

For a few weeks now, YG Entertainment has been teasing the public of the girls' comeback and now they have finally solidified their glorious re-entry by dropping the music videos for their newest singles. According to Allkpop, in preparation for the release of the MVs, a number of image teasers were released by the talent agency and as a last call to the fans, they also released behind-the-scenes footage of the girls' music videos.

Their latest music videos showcased two different sides of the girl group. Their MV for Playing with Fire definitely shows how fierce and feisty the girls can be. The song itself featured an upbeat and catchy tune but didn't come as hard and heavy as Boombayah or Whistle. Still, this didn't stop the girls from breaking into an awesome dance number.

The song Stay is a complete contrast to Playing with Fire as it is a mellow ballad that focused on the girls' vocals as accompanied by the classic acoustic guitar, harmonica and some old school clapping. There were no dance numbers as is to expected but what the video does have is pure and raw emotion. The music video is set in a somewhat abandoned town or city which highly complements the girls' loneliness and strong longing for company. Both music videos are beautifully and creatively made. The girls themselves are both aesthetically and vocally pleasing and both songs are highly relatable.

Before the group dropped the music videos, YG released one last teaser image featuring the girls standing on top of a tipped over bus looking up to the sky which is filled with vibrant colors of pink, orange, blue and green, as reported by Soompi. Each of the girls have also written personal messages for their fans which can be found on the YG family official website, saying how much they have missed their fans and asking them to spread the word.

Their digital single Square Two is out now so don't forget to grab a copy. BLACKPINK's debut attracted quite a following even with little promotions and they even gained International attention so it wouldn't be at all that surprising when the girls make a repeat of their achievement or if they surpass it.
